MY LAMENT

Hear the lament of my soul
How long before the pain goes?
Breathe on me with your breath of life
Free me from the dark of night.

I cry out to you oh my God
When will the pain cease and the peace increase?
You are my God, the lover of my soul
Only your love can make me whole.

I’ve set my eyes on you, oh lover of my soul
Your fire, its burns deep and never lets me go
My heart is filled with desire for you
I am yours, do what you want to do.
